A song for Rizal: Hacienda case
In our subject in Rizal, our teacher gave us this particular topic and out from it we need to compose a song. Here is the song i’ve made. I based it from the tune of Shalala by Vengaboys. It is not that good but at least we have presented a song. Gossh…i was having a hard time doing it because I was on a cramming (I always do that!) Good thing, were still able to make it. Anyways, no more talk. Here it is:

T’was August when Rizal moved to a new place for his case
All the way to the court of Madrid, the capital of Spain
He’s been gone for some time but we hope he’ll succeed
Whom Paciano also hope that’s why he wrote letter to Rizal

Rizal wrote a letter to del Pilar for the Hacienda case
Requesting him to stand as lawyer before the high court
He’s been doing all his best the whole time just to win the case
That’s why he sought help of his fellow Filipino

He even went together with del Pilar for the case
And see the minister of colonies to present the grievances
He complain ’bout the friars and governor’s injustices
But his effort remained futile because he lost the case

As result of Rizal’s losing the Hacienda case
Tenants had been evicted pursuant to the court’s verdict
Soldiers were sent under the colonel’s command
That’s why many were displayed, land and houses were destroyed.
