M2M

m2m

My playlists now is not yet updated because I am using other’s system unit. I still have to download songs from Symbianize. Anyways, yesterday in order to make my moment with this computer not boring I watched videos from You Tube. The whole afternoon i was just searching for music videos and got to listen to them especially the music from M2M (Norwegian Pop Music Duo).

Oh, I remember them well. When I first heard their songs, I was in the car together with my student (I was working in a tutorial center before) and his dad. Heheheheheheh…They drove me home.

On the way to our house, my student played the songs from M2M and i super like it. I like the message and melody as in! These two beautiful ladies are just so amazing! Hmmnnn..they are also like the t.A.T.u. But too bad, Marion Elise Raven and Marit Elisabeth Larsen separate each others ways and go on as solo artists. I wonder why?

Yael Naim - New Soul

This song is one of my favorites in my playlist. Thanks to Mr. Niners because he posted the link so that I can download a copy of this song. When i first heard it, it didn’t quite catch my attention. My ears were first glued to the pop songs that you feel like dancing. But as I was always playing them every time I turn my computer on, I get used to them all. Some are really just phenomenal and this one is different. Hmmnn..Yael Naim seems to be like Regina Spektor and I like their music. This song reminds me of Fidelity by Regina Spektor also, like to hear the piano thing really. Oh, when will i learn to play piano? I will really enroll myself if i have the money.

By the way, if you still have not seen the video of New Soul check it out here. To see more of info about Yael Naim check it also here.

Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne

*This post was inspired by my brother who is obsessed with Avril Lavigne. Me? Her Avid Fan.

Avril Lavigne is set to release her third album this April 17, 2007 which entitled "The Best Damn Thing". The album is said to be less mellow than previous Lavigne albums, and more upbeat. Avril described the record as: "fast, fun, young, bratty, aggressive, confident, cocky in a playful way…all the good stuff." [ from Wikipedia ] Girlfriend is one of the single in the album which already has a world premiere. This was the song my brother has been telling me last friday night which he finds Avril so beautiful. In the video, you can see two different sides of Avril, the one is she resembles Betty La Fea. It is also refreshing to see her dance. The message of the lyrics was quite shallow yet we still like it. We just love her.

More about the Girlfriend song:

The song is based around the ever-classic love triangle theme, where Avril makes a bid for her crush’s significant-other’s position, trouncing his current main squeeze. Its sing-song-chant chorus is propelled by a catchy hook and handclaps, and has been noted by fans and critics as being reminiscent of Toni Basil’s "Mickey".

The music video features two different Avrils: one with a nerdy persona, glasses and red hair, and one with a rocker persona and black hair. The black hair rocker and blonde hair girl represents ‘Avril’ as herself; Avril fights over the man with the nerdy red-haired girl and eventually gets the man in the end.

Check out the lyrics here and the video through YouTube. Enjoy! I was wondering why i couldn’t embed the video here.

Here’s Nothing in this World Lyrics:

Da-da,
Da-da, Da-da, Da,
Da-da, Da-da, Da-da, Da

So I was thinking to myself when you passed me by “Here’s what I like”
And you were with somebody else but you can’t deny
That’s me in your eye

Do you know
What it’s like
When it’s wrong
But it feels so right?

[Chorus]
Nothing in this world can stop us tonight
I can do what she can do so much better
Nothing in this world can turn out the light
I’m gonna make you feel alright tonight.
Da-da, Da-da, Da-da, Da, Tonight
Da-da, Da-da, Da-da, Da, Tonight

Baby, you and I, we got what will never be
You know I’m right
So tell me what you’re waiting for when you’re here with me?
Most guys would die

You should know
What it’s like
When it hurts
‘Cause it feels so right

I gotta tell you somethin’
It’s somethin’ that you just might like
No, it’s not the same thing
Yeah, you’ll learn I’m not too shy
You and I, we can do this thing tonight

Nicole Scherzinger

She is just so sexy. Oh how i wish i could have a body such like that, someday (sigh) but it requires me so much discipline like in food and in exercising (hhhehehehe). Anywayz, here is a short biography of Nicole which i found in the Most Beautiful Woman site. She made all Filipinos so proud!

Short Biography:

Nicole Scherzinger, born June 29, 1978, in in Honolulu, Hawaii, is an American singer-songwriter and dancer best known for her work as the lead vocalist for The Pussycat Dolls.

Scherzinger was born to a Filipino father and a Hawaiian/Russian mother. She grew up in Louisville, Kentucky with stepfather Gary Scherzinger, mother Rosemary and sister Ke’ala. She began her life as a performer in Louisville, attending the Youth Performing Arts School at duPont Manual High School and performing with Actors Theatre of Louisville. Scherzinger majored in theater arts at Wright State University, but put her studies on hold in 1999 to sing backing vocals for the rock band Days of the New.

In June 2003, following her stint with Eden’s Crush, Scherzinger joined The Pussycat Dolls burlesque troupe, who were being re-cast as recording artists. She had first seen them performing on The Late Show with David Letterman in 2002, where Carmen Electra sang "Big Spender" from the Bob Fosse musical Sweet Charity. In 2006, Scherzinger said "It caught my eye because I’d played Velma Kelly in (the Fosse musical) Chicago in college."

The Pussycat Dolls now have world-wide status as a popular singing group; their Billboard top five hits include "Don’t Cha", "Buttons" and "Stickwitu" and the top 20 hit "Beep". The album PCD went double-platinum in 2006. Scherzinger is the only group member with a songwriting credit on this album; she co-wrote "I Don’t Need a Man" with Kara DioGuardi and producer Rich Harrison (another collaboration with DioGuardi, "Flirt", appeared later as a bonus track). Scherzinger sang nearly all lead and backing vocals on the album, with Melody Thornton and Carmit Bachar also contributing.

Nicole had a cameo apperance in Nick Cannon’s Love Don’t Cost A Thing She also had a cameo in Chasing Papi, where she played the role of Miss Puerto Rico.
